Polychrome wooden sculpture of Mother of God, hand-carved in the first half of the 18th century by the Franciscan carving workshop. The sculpture depicts a female figure standing in a very pronounced S-composition, leaning on her left leg, while her upper body is tilted to the right. Her head is tilted left, leaning toward her left shoulder, and her gaze is directed downward. She is wearing a long red dress with long sleeves. Shoes are looming underneath the red dress. A white undergarment is visible above the red dress at neck height. A long, flowing, voluminous blue cape is covering her head and back, slightly wrapping around her hips and right leg, reaching to below the knee. Underneath the blue cape, long, brown hair can be seen. Her arms are crossed on her chest. She is standing on a square wooden plinth. The sculpture probably originated from the Franciscan monastery in Kamnik. The sculpture of St John the Evangelist was part of the same altar.
