A wooden polychrome sculpture of A Kneeling Angel hand-carved in the 2nd quarter of the 18th century by the Baroque sculptor Joseph Straub (1712 - 1756). The sculpture depicts a figure of an angel kneeling on both knees. His upper body is slightly tilted forward. He is gazing downward to his right. His left arm is slightly bent at the elbow and raised above and to the left of his head. He is holding his right arm in front of his body, stretching to his left. He is wrapped in a gold drapery hanging across his back and around his waist, covering his lower body. He is barefoot and has gold, spread wings. He has blue eyes. His cheeks and lips are slightly red and he has brown, curly hair. The figure is placed on a square, grey plinth. Works on the conservation and restauration were conducted from 2006 to 2010.
