    Below the left elbow, where the arm ends, there is a small square hole in the centre, presumably used to attach the sculpture. There are wormholes on the reverse side. There are two large holes on the reverse side, presumably used to attach the sculpture. The paint layer is negligibly deteriorated and cracked. There is a crack on the back of his head. There are two small cracks on the left side of his collar.

The wooden bust of a young pilgrim saint was hand-carved in the middle of the 17th century by an unknown sculptor. The bust depicts a young male figure with short curly brown hair. He is wearing a brown, sleeved garment and over it a shoulder-length collared cape which is decorated with a shell-shaped ornament on each side of his chest. A light pink pigment is used to emphasize the blush in his cheeks and lips.
